Today is my LAST day in Leuven. I started it with my Flemish Art oral exam, which I did pretty well on. Afterwards, Brigette and I walked around town and saw the Town Hall one last time.
Afterwards, we had to clean our room and essentially empty it completely. Afterwards, we had one last dinner, and I went to Dewerf for my last dessert in Leuven. I had a DELICIOUS hot chocolate, and after that a bunch of us went to the Klockhuis for one last Belgian beer.
On this note, the blog that has been documenting my adventures in Europe for the past ten months is officially finished. Thanks for reading and sharing this wonderful year with me!
Today I packed and studied a bit for my Flemish Art exam tomorrow. I’m not too worried since it’s just an oral exam where we need to defend our paper.
For dinner, we all went out to eat at the cheap 5 Euro pizza place. I had my last pizza there and my last Westmalle Tripel. I won’t be getting many of those back in the USA.
Today for brunch, Megan, Brigette, and I all went to Nosh. It was all our last Nosh meal in Leuven. Afterwards, we went to the Botanical Gardens for the last time; unfortunately, it rained the whole time. However, afterwards we grabbed our last waffles and then it stopped raining all of a sudden. Typical Belgium.
In the evening, we all went out to the Oude Markt for the last time.
Today I had my Medieval Mysticisms exam. Since I feel like I did well on it, I grabbed an 80 cent Belgian chocolate milk from the nearby Carrefour Express and enjoyed it here, one of my favorite spots in Leuven (when it’s sunny).
After this, it was back to the books unfortunately for my Philosophy of Being exam tomorrow.
Studying for Medieval Mysticisms for the last time in STUK. I’m freaking out because I have two exams over the next two days. My new diet is coffee.
Today I had to do some intense studying for my exams. I’ve been studying in the kitchen lately since it’s been so empty, but it’s also just really cool to be in there when it’s warm and raining since we’re on the second floor. The windows are huge, so I kinda feel like I’m on a balcony or something.
This is a photo of Brigette donning some of the stranger things I’ve accumulated during this year. We were going through our possessions and starting to pack up things for America. I packed a LOT, but I’m actually becoming rather worried that I won’t have enough space. I’m almost certain one of my bags will be overweight. Niet zo goed.
